1. Ben Affleck and Matt Damon?—Before they were movie stars they were two kids and best friends from Cambridge, Mass. After graduating high school in 1990 Affleck and Damon set out to be actors?—both landed small roles; Damon briefly studied at Harvard University. When Damon showed Affleck a play he?’d written the pair decided to turn it into a screenplay and the rest as they say is history. ?“Good Will Hunting,?” about a troubled math prodigy who is a janitor at MIT, was released in 1997 and was nominated for nine Academy Awards. “We never expected anyone to see it, which was why [it] was successful,” Affleck told Entertainment Weekly magazine. The film won two Oscars, including Best Original Screenplay, which both Damon and Affleck received. More than 10 years though each went on to individual projects, they still make time to double-date with their wives.

2. Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox?—For 10 seasons on NBC?’s hit comedy ?“Friends?” Aniston and Cox portrayed best friends Rachel and Monica. Behind the cameras the women weren?’t acting?—their friendship was the real deal. Since the end of the beloved show the two remain close often photographed in celebrity magazines like People, In Style and US Weekly.

3. Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King?—They met more than 20 years ago while working in the news media. When Oprah became a superstar she didn?’t forget Gayle, who regularly contributes to Oprah?’s magazine O and to Oprah?’s talk-show The Oprah Winfrey show.

5. Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek?—Spanish beauty Cruz and Mexican beauty Hayek were friends long before they starred in ?“Bandidas?” together. 6. Tobey Maguire and Leonardo DiCaprio?—The two met as child actors auditioning for the same television roles. As both actors found fame, their relationship has remained low key and solid.
